Halloween is a dark and magical holiday. It’s also the one time of the year when excessive cobwebs and giant orange vegetables are a totally normal form of decoration. Now don’t get us wrong, we do love a pumpkin and some novelty spiders, but we’ve also got our own take on what makes a Halloween party go down a storm and we’ve compiled a few of our favourite ideas. If you’re looking for dark decor and spooky Halloween styling tips read on… if you dare! (Just kidding, please read on).
For this look, we’ve chosen some bold, eye-catching, red armchairs. Even in dark lighting, these chairs stand out from the crowd (especially if the crowd is a bunch of zombies). We’ve paired these seats with decorative silver skulls on black side tables. Why not spray paint your pumpkins black and silver because orange and red is far too colourful for a ghoul.
With velvet sofas everywhere at the moment, Halloween is the perfect opportunity to make use of this trend because who doesn’t love velvet more than vampires? Have you seen the inside of Dracula’s coffin? The guy’s obsessed. Instead of going for the traditional vampy red, however, we’ve chosen a black velvet sofa for this look and have styled it with some blood-red candles (battery-powered so they last all night) and cage-like tables (spooky).
It’s all very well having comfortable seats, but what are your undead guests going to drink? In our third look, we’ve created a bar fit for a witch using this wooden and metal table. Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without a cauldron full of witches brew (basically a punch if you didn’t know) and a witches broom (perfect to fly away on from any annoying warlocks).
