When putting together an event, you’re confronted with a lot of decision making and choosing a venue is probably one of the most important to get sorted. The venue is the skeleton of the entire event. This means it’s essential that it fits your concept and style and most importantly, that it wows people. London is a hot spot for event venues: from historic spaces to high-end, unique settings and blank canvases, the capital is a front runner for venue options. We’re about to reveal some of our favourite London event venues.
HRP or, ‘Historic Royal Palaces’ has a collection of six royal venues dotted around London. With a mission to help visitors explore the story of how monarchs and people have shaped society, in some of the greatest palaces ever built, these spaces are sure to wow your guests.
Last Spring, we helped host an event at one of HRP’s venues at the Banqueting House. The event with Pearl & Pear was aimed at professionals in the events industry so, the day was filled with workshops, talks and networking. If you’re looking to host a networking event, the Banqueting House worked beautifully and our Tangle Tables and Dexter Sofas complimented the space perfectly. Or, if your event is more of a celebration then the stunning red brick villa and lush gardens of Kew Palace may be an option. Hosting a outdoors event? Then Hampton Court Gardens would make an incredible backdrop.
The beautiful Kew Gardens is an iconic venue and one that would most definitely give your guests something to talk about before even setting foot in your event. Picture this: a chic product launch or brand event, surrounded by the botanic gardens of Kew – if this isn’t Instagram worthy, then we don’t know what is. To accompany this greenery, we think the natural style of our wooden inspired bars & DJ booths would be a lovely addition.
Depending on the size and type of your event, there are a few different buildings to rent. Amongst the selection, there’s The Orangery which is a large, open-plan building with high ceilings and grand arched window. Or for something a little more unique, take a look at The Princess of Wales Conservatory and The Nash Conservatory, both of which are perfect for hosting pre-drinks before dinner or, if you’re hosting a daytime event, the brightness created by the surrounding windows and the array of plants makes them ideal for a sophisticated daytime event.
A grand, established venue can sometimes seem a bit intimidating and more of a challenge to make it unique to you. So, if you’re looking to be very creative and require more of a blank canvas, then the Mail Rail is the venue you’re looking for.
With so much space to play around with, why not create a colour scheme with some pieces of furniture from our collection. Our Dinky Armchairs would add sophisticated yet fun pops of colour to the room or, our Gatsby Sofas would bring a touch of luxury and comfort.
This place is also pretty unique as you can add a ride to your event to set it apart from the rest. How much fun would that be!? There is also the possibility of hiring some outdoor space with The Courtyard – summer party anyone? This space is ideal for incorporating some of our outdoor items such as the stylish Venice Console Combo or the modern and geometric Hexa Chairs.
